Our story

Rooted in land. Connected by value.

AYADU is being built as an integrated agriculture, horticulture, agro-processing and animal nutrition group.

Our legacy

A story that began with one man and one piece of land.

AYADU traces its roots to Vamanrao Puranik, who served in the British army before returning home to take up the agricultural land he inherited in Jabalpur. What began as one man working one property has grown, generation by generation, into a diversified agricultural group — carried forward by his son, grandsons, and now the fifth generation of the family running the business today.

Generation 1
Vamanrao Puranik
Left service in the British army to take up the family's inherited agricultural land in Jabalpur, laying the foundation of the business.
Generation 2
The next generation
Built on the founding property, strengthening cultivation practices and expanding what the land could produce.
Generation 3
The grandsons
Carried the business further, adopting mechanisation and beginning the shift beyond a single property.
Generation 4
Continued expansion
Extended operations into new locations and added processing capabilities alongside traditional cultivation.
Generation 5
Running the business today
Today's generation leads AYADU across four locations, with agriculture, horticulture, dairy, poultry, animal feed and processing all part of one connected group.
How the business has changed

The same land. A very different way of working it.

Handloom → Powerloom Bulls → Tractors Manual oil pressing → Machine pressing One property → Multiple locations Single crop focus → Agriculture, horticulture, dairy, poultry & animal feed
Who we are

A diversified agricultural business with an integrated mindset.

Our properties provide the foundation for cultivation. Our processing activities create opportunities for value addition. Our animal nutrition operations help us use suitable agricultural resources more efficiently.

We build around the practical realities of farming: seasonality, crop quality, local conditions, logistics and market demand.

Our principles

Simple principles. Disciplined execution.

🌾

Land first

Understand soil, climate, water and season before choosing the crop.
🌾

Market aware

Production is connected to customer demand and commercial opportunity.
🌾

Process selectively

Add processing only when it genuinely creates value.
🌾

Use resources fully

Evaluate suitable by-products for productive secondary uses.
🌾

Quality consistently

Maintain discipline from farm handling to finished product.
🌾

Beyond the business

Giving back to the land and the people around it.

AYADU's growth has always been tied to the communities around its properties. Alongside agriculture and processing, the family runs and supports social initiatives in the regions where it works.
